Back in 2014 she was diagnosed after contending with extreme exhaustion. Later, in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.health.com\/celebrities\/the-facts-about-the-disease-that-kept-avril-lavigne-in-bed-for-5-months\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">People<\/a> she stated that she was, for five months, bedridden and lethargic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Head Above Water<\/strong> is Avril&#8217;s first song in three years, and we are very pleased at her return.
