Looking for a fun but structured class to begin or rekindle your interest in music? This course builds a solid foundation of the theoretical elements of music, including sound, pitch, rhythm, melody, harmony, and notation. In addition, students are introduced to songwriting concepts and are required to complete a short original composition.
A textbook is required. This course is intended for beginners or anyone desiring a refresher of music fundamentals and rudiments. Required prerequisites: must know how to use a mouse, type on a keyboard, and navigate the web. This course is three month course and includes live instruction, hands on education. It includes practice exercises, real-world examples, evaluations, and examinations.
