Echoingwalls Music is an independent music-publishing, media and entertainment company created by a musician for musicians—and built to connect music with the audiences, opportunities and businesses around it.
Why We Exist
Music should support the people who make it.
Echoingwalls Music was founded in 1999 by musician and composer Dexter Nelson. It grew from a simple problem: musicians do the work of business owners, but the traditional industry often pays them like affiliates of their own careers.
They create the product. They build the audience. They handle sales, marketing, booking, finances, agreements and risk. We believe they should have a practical way to build profitable careers without surrendering most of what their work earns.
That belief started with musicians, but it doesn’t stop there. Music depends on relationships between artists, listeners, venues, promoters, managers, broadcasters, advertisers and other businesses. Echoingwalls Music creates places where those relationships can become discovery, opportunity and real business.
