From the Newsroom Concert Series of the Toronto Star, Charles Bradley sings a deep, soulful cover of Changes by Black Sabbath.
If you don’t know who Charles Bradley was, you might recognize his nickname, the Screaming Eagle of Soul which he was so named because of his raspy voice and his emotional performances.
He gained fame late in life and in the opinion of many, he was the breathing essence of 60’s funk and soul music. He sadly passed in September of last year (2017) from stomach cancer.
If you have the chance, and entire documentary called Soul of America was about Bradley. I would highly recommend watching it. Enjoy the video!
