What Ancient Greek Music Sounded Like

Earlier today, I read an article from Phys.org about ancient Greek music, and what it sounded like.

Apparently, ancient Greek music has been something of an enigma, and reconstructing music from ancient Greece, has been a daunting task. I highly suggest that you read the article, (don’t worry, it opens in a new window), because the history is very interesting.
What I found interesting though, were the videos. The first is a short, 92 second clip of a reconstructed piece of ancient Greek music. The second is a short documentary, (about 15 minutes long).
I would HIGHLY recommend you watch it, because it is awesome. Literally, this is music that hasn’t been heard in 2,000 years, and it’s dramatic to say the least.
